Bonfire Night lights up Gibraltar with family fun and fireworks on November 5
Little Bay car park hosts a lively evening of competitions, activities and charity fundraising to mark Guy Fawkes Night
If you’re missing home this November, Gibraltar’s Little Bay will once again light up with one of Britain’s most cherished traditions: Guy Fawkes Bonfire Night on Wednesday November 5.As you will know, this annual event dates back to 1605 and celebrates the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot, when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the British Parliament. Today, Bonfire Night remains a beloved, family-friendly occasion that blends history, community spirit and ‘dazzling’ entertainment.
This year’s festivities take place in Little Bay car park from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
What’s happening:
- “Best Guy” contest – get crafty and make your own Guy Fawkes entry
- Entertainment and activities for adults and children alike
- Food and drink stalls to help stave off the evening chill
- Fireworks and bonfires to fill the night with colour and tradition
If you’d like to enter the “Best Guy” competition, the entry fee is just £5, with all proceeds going to GBC Open Day, supporting great causes across Gibraltar.
So, if you’re free tomorrow from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Little Bay car park, and enjoy an evening that brings history to life with plenty of entertainment, community spirit and warming treats.Whether you’re keen to enter the contest, enjoy classic Bonfire Night food or simply gather with friends and neighbours to watch the sky light up, this is an event not to be missed.
