ARCHIVED - Ryanair announces new Alicante-Elche flights
The Irish airline will bring 15% more traffic to the Costa Blanca next year
Low-cost airline Ryanair continues to expand its operations at Alicante-Elche airport, and last Thursday five more new routes were announced for summer 2016.
The new flights next summer will provide direct services between the Costa Blanca and Berlin, Rome, Copenhagen, Hamburg and Newcastle, and at the same time more flights are to be added to the services to and from Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Edinburgh, Gdansk, Cracow, Leeds, Manchester and Milan.
These additions to Ryanair flights at Alicante-Elche mean that next summer the company will be operating 264 flights every week to and from 48 destinations, and during 2016 it is currently forecast that the airline will be bringing traffic of 3.5 million passengers to the airport in El Altet, an increase of 15% on the 2015 total.
