Andalucía weekly weather forecast October 19-22: Storms clear to give a crisp and mainly sunny week
Showers and thunderstorms on Monday give way to clearer skies and cooler mornings as the week settles into a pleasant autumnal rhythm
After a wet and unsettled weekend, with storms and heavy rain affecting much of Andalucía, this week brings somewhat of a marked improvement. Monday still carries some of that residual instability, but from Tuesday the region largely dries out, with clear skies and noticeably cooler mornings signalling that autumn has properly arrived.Monday October 19
Andalucía weather warnings, Monday October 19The unsettled conditions from the weekend linger into Monday, with cloudy skies and showers possible across wide areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and locally heavy rain, particularly in mountainous regions. The far east of the region, around Almería, faces the greatest risk of very heavy and persistent storms in the early morning. Seville and Jaén are both under weather warnings for rainfall and storms. Temperatures are decreasing or unchanged, and winds are light and variable, predominantly from the south.
Tuesday October 20
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday October 20A calmer feel settles across Andalucía, though not completely clear. Intervals of low and mid-level cloud bring the chance of some rain during the first part of the day, becoming a little heavier inland as the day goes on. Morning fog is possible in the inland mountain areas. Temperatures begin to recover, with maximums rising along the Mediterranean coast while holding steady or easing slightly elsewhere. Málaga benefits from the improving picture on the coast. Winds turn light westerly, strengthening to moderate along the Mediterranean coast.
Wednesday October 21
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday October 21A noticeably clearer day. Skies clear across most of Andalucía, making for a bright and pleasant mid-week. The cooler nights are becoming apparent, with Córdoba and Granada both waking to temperatures around 8-9°C, though most areas climb comfortably into the mid-twenties by the afternoon. Winds stay light and variable throughout. A good day to be outside.
Thursday October 22
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday October 22
Partly cloudy skies continue the settled theme, with low cloud in the morning around the province of Cádiz clearing through the day. Temperatures change little overall, with maximums rising across much of the region, though the Huelva coast and parts of the Mediterranean slope see a slight dip. Tarifa and the Strait stay breezy as usual. Winds are light and variable.Monday aside, it’s shaping up to be a decent week, and those chilly mornings in Córdoba and Granada are a reminder that, whatever the afternoons feel like, the seasons have shifted.
