Andalucía weekly weather forecast May 18-21: Turning hotter with plenty of sunshine
Mostly dry and sunny, with temperatures climbing sharply and only a slight chance of a passing shower inland
After the warmer, windier spell at the end of last week, Andalucía now looks set for a more settled and much hotter stretch. Sunshine will dominate for most areas, with only a little daytime cloud and the odd isolated shower over higher ground. Inland towns will feel the heat most, while coastal areas stay a touch more comfortable thanks to light breezes.Monday May 18
Andalucía weather forecast, Monday May 18Partly cloudy skies are expected, with some high cloud drifting through later in the day and a little daytime cloud building over the hills. There is a small chance of an isolated shower inland, but most places stay dry. Málaga should see a rise in maximum temperatures, while Granada is likely to sit around the mid-20s. Winds remain light and variable, mainly from the west.
Tuesday May 19
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday May 19A brighter day follows, with partly cloudy or mostly clear skies across much of the region. Temperatures lift almost everywhere, although minimum values may stay little changed in the western half. Huelva and Tarifa should see plenty of sunshine, with a pleasant feel in the afternoon. Winds stay light and variable, so it should feel calmer than the previous week.
Wednesday May 20
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday May 20Sunny spells continue, but temperatures make a noticeable jump, especially on the Atlantic side. Cádiz will be one of the cooler spots at around 25°C, while many inland areas push well above 30°C. Jaen and Almería are both likely to feel properly hot by the afternoon. Winds remain light, so the heat may build quite quickly away from the coast.
Thursday May 21
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday May 21Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies should continue, with temperatures showing little change overall, apart from slightly warmer nights along the Atlantic side. Seville is expected to be the hottest place at around 37°C, with Córdoba close behind at 35°C. Light and variable winds will do little to ease the heat, especially inland.
The week ahead looks far more summer-like, with the main story shifting from cloud and breeze to strong sunshine and rising temperatures.
