Andalucía weekend weather forecast May 28-31: Hot, sunny and then a touch more cloud
Mostly dry and very warm, with temperatures climbing again and a few showers possible over the mountains by the weekend
After the hot, bright spell earlier in the week, Andalucía stays firmly in summer mode, with plenty of sunshine and only a little cloud at times. The main change comes later, when cloud builds over the mountains and a few isolated showers may break out, while the Strait of Gibraltar keeps a steady easterly breeze.Thursday May 28
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday May 28Partly cloudy or clear skies are expected, with temperatures nudging up in the eastern third and holding steady or easing slightly elsewhere. Málaga and Granada should both stay warm under good sunny spells, while Cádiz will still feel the easterly breeze, with moderate to strong winds at around 22kph and gusts up to 47kph, although the warnings have now cleared.
Friday May 29
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday May 29Another warm and bright day follows, with temperatures rising across most of Andalucía. Huelva and Tarifa are likely to see plenty of sunshine, while inland areas heat up quickly again. Córdoba and Seville are set to reach 38°C, so it will feel properly hot away from the coast, and the breeze stays light for most places.
Saturday May 30
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday May 30Skies stay partly cloudy, but cloud thickens over the mountains as the day goes on and there is a chance of a few passing showers. Jaen and Almería may see the most cloud inland, while temperatures continue to rise, or at least hold up well in many spots. Winds remain light and variable, with a moderate easterly flow still showing in the Strait of Gibraltar.
Sunday May 31
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday May 31The weekend ends with more partly cloudy skies, high cloud at times and daytime cloud development over the hills, where a few showers are expected. Minimum temperatures edge up, while daytime values change very little, keeping the heat firmly in place. Cádiz and Almería should both stay around 29°C, so even the “cooler” spots will feel very warm.
The heat is not going anywhere, but the weekend does bring a little more cloud and a small chance of showers in the hills by Sunday.
