Andalucía weekend weather forecast May 14-17: Warm spells then windy and cloudier
A mild few days ahead with sunshine in places but a touch more cloud and coastal wind later in the period
After the mostly dry turn earlier in the week, Andalucía keeps that generally pleasant spring feel though the Mediterranean coast will feel windier as the days progress. Inland areas will see the warmest daytime highs, while the eastern third faces the best chance of some rain and stronger westerly gusts at times compared with the quieter conditions we had midweek.Thursday May 14
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday May 14Partly cloudy skies with high cloud and some daytime cloud development; isolated showers are possible over higher ground. Málaga should be the warmest at about 28°C, while Cádiz is cooler near 21°C. Winds start light and variable but become westerly along the Atlantic coast in the afternoon, with strong gusts close to shore.
Friday May 15
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday May 15Cloud thickens with mid-level cloud inland and rain most likely in the eastern third, especially over higher terrain where it may be steadier. A yellow warning is in place for very strong coastal gusts around Málaga, Almería and Granada, so expect blustery conditions on the Mediterranean coast. Nighttime temperatures change little and daytime maxima generally fall a little.
Saturday May 16
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday May 16A fresher and brighter day with more sun early on, then increasing cloud during the afternoon; temperatures ease along the Mediterranean while some inland spots stay mild. Seville looks set to be the warmest inland area at about 27°C, and winds will be mostly light and variable for most locations. Tarifa may see a touch more breeze given its coastal position.
Sunday May 17
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday May 17Partly cloudy skies with intervals of high cloud, becoming cloudier across the western half of the region by the afternoon and with a small chance of light showers. Córdoba and Jaen will notice only small temperature changes, while the east may see a slight rise in daytime values. Light to moderate westerly winds continue, with the Mediterranean coast remaining the breeziest.
Expect mainly pleasant conditions away from the coast, with the Mediterranean side bearing the brunt of the windier and cloudier episodes into the middle of next week.
