The thunderstorms will cause considerable disruptions in the north of the province as the wind will be strong and lightning is expected during the afternoons of Thursday and Friday.

The weather is set to be clear throughout the morning of Thursday January 16 in the province of Alicante. Blue skies however will become overcast come the afternoon and by early evening the rain will have begun. In the north of the province possible thunderstorms are also forecasted for the afternoon and will bring a disruption to the nice weather the province has had of late.

Moreover, the wind is expected to be strong in the afternoon and along the coast and will reach speeds of up to 30kmh in places like Denia. The wind will be blowing from the north throughout much of the day and may bring the temperatures down with it.

Another morning of sunshine gives way to bad weather on Friday January 17 in the province. The blue skies of the morning will be obstructed by clouds in the early afternoon and the rain and thunderstorms of the previous day will return come mid-afternoon in the north. The thunderstorms will be focused more to the north of the province and will keep many people indoors on Friday afternoon. The south of the province however is likely to miss the worst of the rain and will remain brighter than the north.
The temperature is set to remain mild with the afternoons highs reaching 16ºC, while in the night the lows will fall to 4ºC. Again the wind will be strong along the coast of Alicante and will reach speeds of up to 30kmh at times. The wind that will be experienced is likely to come from the north as it did the previous day.

Overcast skies will dominate much of the day on Saturday January 18. The day at times will experience sunny spells, but for the most part the weather is looking to be grey and with mild temperatures. The south of the region will again have the best of the weather in the province, with more time spent under blue skies.
Maximum temperatures will reach 17ºC during the day, as the minimum temperatures during the night will fall to around 4ºC. The wind is looking to fall from the previous days to speeds of 10kmh. As with the previous two days the weather is looking to blow from the north.
Sunday January 19
