Alicante dodges the storms: Weather forecast Oct 7-10
Temperatures will drop in Alicante this week but the province will escape the heaviest of the rains
Average temperatures expected on Thursday
Hurricane Kirk is winging its way through Europe at the moment and several resulting Atlantic fronts will bring widespread rain, strong gusts of wind, storms and rough seas to large parts of Spain.
Luckily though, it looks like the southeast coast will be spared and although it might be rather breezy in Alicante later in the week, the province should escape the rain for the most part. Temperatures will take a bit of a nosedive, especially inland.
Monday October 7
The skies will be a little hazy or cloudy on Monday but there’s no rain on the horizon. Daytime temperatures will start to fall compared to the weekend, although most parts could still hit 30ºC.
A light to moderate wind from the south is forecast, turning to a moderate westerly wind at the end of the day, with very strong gusts inland.
Tuesday October 8
Tuesday will be partly cloudy with some sunny spells, but the mercury will continue to drop, more noticeably inland. A westerly breeze will be light or moderate across the province.
Wednesday October 9
Wednesday will be more cloudy than not and there’s a slight chance of some light afternoon showers in the far north of the province. Daytime temperatures will start to climb except in the extreme south, where there will be few changes overall.
Once again, those moderate winds will feel very gusty inland later in the afternoon.
Thursday October 10
After a bit of an overcast start, the skies should clear to partly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures will again fall throughout Alicante province but the strong breezes will ease off as the hours go by.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week
- Monday October 7: Min 19ºC; Max 33ºC
- Tuesday October 8: Min 15ºC; Max 31ºC
- Wednesday October 9: Min 15ºC; Max 31ºC
- Thursday October 10: Min 15ºC; Max 29ºC
