Air Nostrum to connect Malaga and Valencia with Nice airport this summer
Iberia's franchise airline for regional flights will link Nice with a total of five Spanish airports from June
Spanish regional airline, Air Nostrum, is the latest operator to announce a barrage of new routes ahead of what is shaping up to be a bumper summer season for the aviation industry.
The airline is set to link Nice Côte d'Azur Airport with five Spanish terminals from June, including Malaga. There will also be peak season connections to Valencia, Ibiza, Mallorca.
The routes will be on offer all summer until the beginning of September, according to a statement in which Valencia-based Iberia Regional Air Nostrum said its operations at the French airport will far exceed those of 2022.
This is because the four new connections will start operating a month early and there will be an increase in available seats ranging from a 33% improvement in the case of Malaga to almost three times the number of seats offered last year from Valencia.
The summer schedule is in addition to the flights that are operated daily throughout the year between Madrid and Nice, which connect with the network of national and international destinations of the Spanish flagship carrier. This means there will be five Spanish airports linked with Nice from next month.
Malaga will operate three flights a week on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 10 to July 17. There will then be a daily flight from July 21 to September 3.
Valencia will almost triple the number of seats with Nice compared to the previous summer and operate two weekly frequencies on Tuesday and Saturdays from June 3 to September 2.
In Mallorca, there will be two weekly frequencies, on Saturdays and Sundays from June 10 to July 17. From July 21 to September 3, there will be six weekly frequencies, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays (with two flights) and Sundays. The airport will offer 73% more seats compared to 2022.
In the case of Ibiza, there will be three weekly flights, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 10 to July 17. During the high summer season there will be a daily flight from July 21 to September 3.
The number of seats available on the island airport is increased by 50% compared to last summer thanks to the campaign being brought forward by one month.
