Aguilas bakers present Semana Santa millefeuille pastry treat!
The mouth-watering pastry has been created in honour of the patron of Águilas, the Virgen de los Dolores
During the Semana Santa (or Easter Week) processions in Águilas this year the 25th anniversary is being celebrated of the saintly “canonization” of the Virgen de los Dolores as patron of the town, and to mark the occasion a special “dulce de la patrona”, a confectionery treat in honour of the patron, has been created by three local bakeries.
The establishments of Brioche, Miss Dulces and Ramón Romero have created a millefeuille pastry with layers of Murciana “pasta flora”, cabello de ángel, flaky puff pastry, cream and merengue, decorated in blue with the emblem associated with the figure of the Virgin.
