A fresh start to the autumn: Alicante weather forecast September 22-25
Cooler temperatures, cloudier skies and some showers are predicted this week
Clouds on the horizon this week
As the astronomical season moves into autumn today, the air is noticeably fresher and there was even a bit of a chill in the breeze first thing this morning.
A very pleasant start to the week is predicted for Alicante province by state meteorological agency Aemet, but there could be some storms and showers on Tuesday.
Periods of cloud and scattered showers are predicted later in the week too.
Monday, September 22
Mostly clear skies this Monday
The skies are mostly clear across the province but some cloudy intervals are likely to develop in the afternoon and some showers are likely from sunset and through the night until tomorrow morning.
The temperatures have dropped, with minimums below 20ºC everywhere for the first time in months and maximums no higher than 28ºC.
Variable light winds in the morning, then tending to blow from the east in the afternoon.

Clouds and showers expected to persist into the afternoon
There is a yellow warning for storms around the south of the Costa Blanca, which could include quite heavy showers in localised areas between midnight and 8am.
The sky is looking cloudy all over the province for most of the day and there could be some scattered showers right through until dusk.
Temperatures, both highs and lows, will drop a little further in most areas.
The wind in the morning will be light and north-easterly on the coast and variable elsewhere, becoming easterly in general in the afternoon.

Some areas of cloud in the afternoon
The morning is predicted to start with just a little cloud in most areas but patches of thicker cloud in certain areas to the north and down the coast.
This may increase in the afternoon but central and southerly areas inland should only have some high cloud, which will probably spread across the province later on.
Slight variations in temperatures and predominantly easterly light winds on the coast, southerly inland in the day, becoming northerly in the later afternoon-evening.
