12 country roads repaired in Jumilla after damage from torrential rains
The Department of Agriculture has invested nearly 50,000 euros in repairing, patching or asphalting the roads
The Department of Agriculture in Jumilla has been carrying out repairs over the past few weeks on a number of country roads in the municipality. The roads had suffered considerably during the past few weeks because of the torrential rains that have blighted the area.
A total of 12 roads have been repaired as a matter of the urgent work to get the roads back in working order. Following the action taken by the Department of Agriculture the following roads have now been repaired:
- Camino del Barranco Villena al Ardal.
- Camino de la Cañada de Albatana.
- Camino de Ontur por los Cerrillares.
- Camino entre Avenida de Yecla y Montesinos.
- Camino de los Romerales.
- Camino de los Álamos.
- Camino de los Ezequieles.
- Catastro 9014, polígono 85, nº 196.
- Camino de los Pepetos.
- Camino de las Cuevas de Peña Roja.
- Camino de Román (Puerta de Jaime).
- Camino Cuevas de La Alquería.
The total amount of money spent on the repairs has been 48,262.35 euros and the work was carried out by the company ‘Mediterráneo de Obras y Asfaltos SA’.
The Councillor for Agriculture said, “From the Department of Agriculture we continue to work on our roads and rural areas, which is where we have the authority to act, fix and repair this damage.”
