ARCHIVED - Weekend activities and World Tourism Day in Aguilas: September 25-27
Cultural activities and events programme in Águilas this weekend
The municipality of Águilas offers a wide range of activities, events and tourist attractions, including walking routes, fairs, the Archaeological Museum, restaurants and much more.

In addition, this Monday September 27 is World Tourism Day and the municipality of Águilas is celebrating by offering free guided tours of the town centre
Activites scheduled for this weekend:
- Saturday September 25, 10am: meeting of theatrical performers from the Region of Murcia at the Francisco Rabal Culture Centre (Casa de la Cultura).
- Saturday September 25, 11am: Conference by José Manuel Ruíz Ibañez, olympic sailor, at the Juan Montiel Sporting Port. For more information contact 968 414 968.
- Saturday September 25, 9pm: "The Opera Locos" at the Doña Infanta Elena Auditorium. Tickets from 18 euros are available at the Archaeological Museum, the Culture House (Casa de Cultura) or online. Tickets can also be bought two hours before the event at the Infanta Doña Elena Auditorium.
- Sunday September 26, 10am: “Four Coves” route, leaving from: Calarreona beach. The ‘Four Coves’ tour visits the protected natural area of Cuatro Calas, which is named as a Place of Community Interest in the European Commission’s Red Natura 2000, to enjoy the natural scenery and cultural elements on offer. - Sunday September 26, 11.45am: 'Alvarito' special train, which leaves from the Águilas Renfe station at 11.45am and returns at 1.30pm.
- Monday September 27, 5pm: free guided tour through the historic town centre. To sign up call 968 493 285 or visit the tourism office during opening hours (only until Saturday morning).

- September 27 to 30: special offer at El Hornillo Cinema (original version films), with tickets being sold a a reduced price of 3.50 euros.

- September 3 to September 30: ‘Enredadas’ exhibition in the Miguel Coronado Exhibition Room from 6pm to 9pm from Monday to Friday.
Exhibitions at the Auditorium
- August 13 to October 31: ‘From Iberia to Spain through Maps’, exhibition on display at the Auditorium's Hall from 6pm to 9pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
- September 3 to September 30: ‘Comadrejal’ exhibition on display in the Temporary Exhibition Room in the Auditorium from 6pm to 9pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
