Dramatic scenes shared by Alicante provincial Firefighters show the terrified feline being literally pulled to safety on Sunday night after spending the entire day perched at the top of the utility pole, some of which are up to 60 metres high.
According to firefighters, the cat had managed to climb up to the top of the communications structure, but was unable to get down on its own.
Rescuers were finally able to reach the trapped kitty with a ladder and noose before handing it over to an Alicante shelter which is now caring for the cat and hoping to trace its owner.
