ARCHIVED - VIDEO: Heroic brothers rescue elderly Brit who fell off Orihuela cliff on the Costa Blanca
The selfless siblings did "everything possible" to save the pensioner following the fall at Cabo Roig's La Caleta beach in the Vega Baja area of Alicante province

Two brothers have been hailed heroes after jumping into the sea along with two other men to rescue an elderly British man who tumbled from cliffs into the sea at La Caleta beach in Cabo Roig, Orihuela Costa, and became engulfed in strong currents.
The pensioner was repeatedly thrown against the rocks by a heavy swell and was unable to get out of the water as his wife cried for help.
Brothers Aitor and David Vicente were heading home along the promenade above after a morning at the beach on Sunday June 5, and on hearing her screams quickly jumped into action.
David spotted a soldier on detachment in the area and together the pair climbed down the cliff face, but strong waves made getting to the injured pensioner difficult.
Meanwhile, Aitor had enlisted the help of a jet ski instructor from the nearby port area and the pair sped to the area. Using a rope and rescue ring, they managed to get to the elderly Brit, but at one point during the dramatic rescue, he falls from the jet ski back into the sea. Eventually, the four men get the exhausted victim to a small beach in Cabo Roig port until an ambulance arrived to transfer him to a nearby hospital.
The extent of the gentleman's injuries have not been disclosed, but praise has been heaped on the two brothers for saving his life.
Speaking to Radio Orihuela Cadena SER, a humble Aitor said: "When you are in that situation you don't think, you just try to do everything possible to save the man".
