Love is in the air this February at La Palmera Bar & Grill in Los Urrutias, but romance is only part of the story. Alongside a special Valentine celebration, the popular bar and restaurant has a packed programme of food offers, weekly events and lively entertainment to keep everyone happy right through the month.
For couples looking to celebrate in style, La Palmera is hosting a fantastic Valentine evening on Saturday February 14. Guests can enjoy a delicious three course meal for two, including a bottle of house wine and live entertainment, all for just €45 per couple. Food service begins at 7pm, with entertainment starting from 8pm, making it the perfect way to treat a loved one to a relaxed and memorable night out.
As always, early booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Tables can be reserved by calling the bar directly on 868 780 608.Of course, there is plenty going on at La Palmera for those who are not feeling especially romantic. The bar continues to offer a full schedule of regular weekly events and promotions.
Every Tuesday afternoon sees the fun game of Quingo starting at 3pm, while Wednesdays are reserved for Prize Bingo at the same time. Both events are a great way to enjoy a social afternoon with friends and perhaps even win a little prize along the way.
Thursdays bring a tasty treat for customers with tapas style free food available on the bar between 5pm and 7pm for all drink buying guests.Fridays are all about value and flavour, with Happy Hour running from 5pm to 7pm. Customers can take advantage of half price draught beer, house wine and spirits, along with a three for two offer on selected bottled beers. Fridays also feature the ever popular Fishy Friday food special, which has become a firm favourite with regulars.
Saturdays are dedicated to sport, with Super Saturday Soccer shown on large screens throughout the bar.
On Sundays, La Palmera serves up what many locals call the finest roast dinner in town. Complete with all the traditional trimmings, it’s a delicious and great value way to round off the weekend.For great value dining throughout the week, the bar also offers a Menu del Dia from just €10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The menu is changed on a regular basis, so customers are encouraged to check the La Palmera Facebook page for the latest dishes and options.
The bar continues to welcome guests with its regular opening hours from 12 noon until midnight, Tuesday through to Sunday, closing only on Mondays.

Sunday roasts
Sundays at La Palmera are all about those incredible smoked roast boards that have become the stuff of local legend. The kitchen team slow-smokes succulent beef brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs and tender chicken, then serves it all up on sharing platters alongside perfectly roasted potatoes and vegetables, fluffy Yorkshire puddings and rich Guinness gravy.
The boards come in three sizes: the 2 Bob Board at €33, the 3 Bob Board at €45 or go all out with the 4 Bob Board at €60.
Regular live entertainment
La Palmera knows how to keep the party going with their fantastic line-up of regular entertainment. You'll find silent discos where you can dance the night away to your own beat, live music that gets everyone singing along, and dance classes that are guaranteed to have you laughing and moving (even if you've got two left feet).
But the real highlight has to be Quingo every Tuesday. It's competitive, hilarious and the perfect way to test your knowledge while having a proper laugh with friends.
