ARCHIVED - Two workers hospitalised during accident installing solar panels in San Javier
The incident occurred in a fruit and vegetable wholesaler in El Mirador
Two workers who were installing solar panels on the roof of an agricultural wholesale fruit and vegetable warehouse were injured early on Tuesday evening (September 14) when several of the panels fell on top of the two men.
The incident occurred at the warehouse located on Camino de Iryda, SIII, T-1, by the RM-1 PK3 in the El Mirador district of the San Javier municipality.
Medical personnel requested assistance from the CEIS fire service, who extracted the two men from the roof using a fire engine lift.
The injured workers, one of them a 22-year-old man, were taken to the Los Arcos del Mar Menor University General Hospital and the accident was reported to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia to clarify how the incident occurred.
