ARCHIVED - Temperature drop forecast in the coming days: Murcia weather August 15-18
The mercury will remain in the high 30s until the middle of the week in the Region of Murcia
Many regions in Spain are looking forward to a bit of a breather in the coming days as a DANA sweeping in from the north promises to pull the temperatures down and even bring some much-needed rain. No such immediate reprieve in Murcia, however, as the thermometers will stubbornly remain in the high 30s until the middle of the week, when the mercury should drop by a couple of degrees.
Monday August 15 will continue the trend of the weekend with temperatures as high as 38ºC in the middle of the day, while the Campo de Cartagena, Mazarrón and Vega del Segura are all on yellow level alert for extreme heat. The mercury will drop to a very pleasant 17ºC at night in Caravaca de la Cruz with very little change elsewhere. Loose variable southerly winds picking up strength throughout the day.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday
Caravaca de la Cruz: 17ºC min; 36ºC max
Cartagena: 27ºC; 35ºC
Lorca: 23ºC; 37ºC
Murcia: 23ºC; 38ºC
Yecla: 22ºC; 35ºC
There are no weather warnings in place for Tuesday August 16 and the day promises to be slightly cloudy, particularly along the coast. Day-time temperatures will dip ever so slightly with the winds from the south increasing later in the day.

Cartagena: 23ºC; 32ºC
Lorca: 20ºC; 36ºC
Murcia: 22ºC; 37ºC

The temperatures remain largely unchanged on Wednesday August 17 but some daytime cloudiness in the northeast of the Region could bring occasional showers. Loose variable winds from the south will prevail once more.
