ARCHIVED - San Fulgencio deworming and rabies vaccination campaign: September 20 to October 1
Owners of dogs, cats and ferrets in the Vega Baja town, Alicante province, can visit participating vets until next Friday
San Fulgencio Council is reminding owners of dogs, cats and ferrets that the annual deworming and rabies vaccination campaign 2021 ends on Friday October 1.
“The treatment against rabies and worms is compulsory for these three pet species and a number of veterinary clinics are participating in the campaign,” said the local authority in a statement.
The following vets are collaborating with the council until October 1:
- Clinica Veterinaria El Gosset, Calle Mar Mediterráneo, 8;
- Clinica Veterinaria San Anton, Calle Alfredo Krauss, 7:
- Clinica Veterinaria Dr San Fulgencio, Avenida Londres, 1;
For the anti-rabies injection, owners must present a current pet vaccination card or European passport. If it’s the animal’s first injection or the relevant health card has been lost, pet owners can take along identification for a new or replacement European passport.
Vaccination costs 15 euros, and a passport 10 euros.
“Owners are also reminded that it is compulsory to vaccinate dogs, cats and ferrets for the first time between 12 and 16 weeks, and each year thereafter,” advised the council.
