29th March,Club Ruta del Sol vehicles can be seen in Torre Pacheco and Cartagena
XIV Rally Región de Murcia de Coches Antiguos y Clásicos 2014, Club Ruta del Sol
The Club Ruta del Sol are based in Murcia and between them have an impressive collection of classic cars, all of which are lovingly maintained and brought out for the public to admire on several occasions throughout the year.
Each year the club enjoys a road trip through the region, visiting several towns with their vehicles, during which the public are able to see the collection, and this year the route takes place between the 27th and 30th March.
The XIV Rally Región de Murcia de Coches Antiguos y Clásicos 2014, is following a route this year through Archena, Torrevieja, Cartagena and Torre-Pacheco, with 47 participating vehicles.
On the day of the 27th, they will be at the Balneario in Archena, leaving on the 28th for Torre Pacheco, via Torrevieja.
On the 29th they drive from Torre-Pacheco to Cartagena, and will be on display in the Plaza San Francisco, between 11am and 4pm. ( click for map, Plaza San Francisco, Cartagena)
From there, they return to Torre Pacheco, where they can be seen in the Calle Mayor of Torre-Pacheco between 6pm and 7.30pm.
On the Sunday they conclude their trip from Torre Pacheco back to Murcia.
Amongst the participants are a Chenard Walcker ‘Tornedo Sport’ from 1907, the Chrysler ‘Phaeton LX 65’ from 1929, the Cadillac ‘La Salle’ from 1937, the Rolls Royce ‘Wraith Saloon High Vision’ from 1938, or the Dodge ‘Wayfarer’ dating from 1950.
