Campeonato de Ajedrez Nocturno Ciudad de Cartagena
The Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Cartagena hosts an unusual event on the evening of Saturday 30th August, in the form of its first night-time chess championship.
The tournament takes place between 9pm and 3am with more than 100 participants, from not only the Murcia region, but also other areas of Spain and even Germany and Argentina, both local enthusiasts belonging to the Cartagena chess club, and also regional champions from other autonomus communities across Spain.
Spectators welcome!
Anyone interested in participating can still do so, with registrations open until Friday 29th at 9pm. Entry is 15 euros or 10 euros for Cartagena chess club members or under 14’s.
The entry fee needs to be paid into the club bank account in La Caixa (ES58 2100 1546 22 0100515878) along with the name of the participant.
