ARCHIVED - New Thursday flights between Almeria and Sevilla starting in September
Two new connections between the Andalucía cities of Almería and Sevilla will start after the summer
An additional route connecting Almería and Sevilla will start operating on Thursdays from September, bringing the total number of weekly flights to nine.
Air Nostrum, the airline which provides these flights, already added two new trips (one each way) a few weeks ago, which have been operating on Sundays since July 1. The first flight leaves Almería at 7.30pm and the second departs from Sevilla at 9.15pm.
The Thursday flights starting in September will have two trips each way, with two planes leaving Sevilla at 9am and 9.15pm and two flights leaving Almería at 7.15am and 7.30pm.
There are also two flights each way on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, as part of the Mandatory Public Service that the regional government has to provide, which costs over 2 million euros per year to subsidise.
These flights restarted on June 2 after a drastic fall in demand due to the coronavirus pandemic, which affected both international and national flights across Spain.
