ARCHIVED - Mass vaccination of 65 to 69 year olds in Los Alcázares on Tuesday
Those without appointments who were born between 1952 and 1956 can request their jabs in situ
The mass coronavirus immunization campaign reached Los Alcázares on Tuesday morning, with the Complejo Polideportivo Municipal hosting vaccinations for the first time as locals no longer faced the need to travel to the neighbouring municipality of San Javier.
Those scheduled to receive their jabs in Los Alcázares on Tuesday were the group born between 1952 and 1956 (aged between 65 and 69), many of whom have been notified of their appointments and need to present only their SMS regional health service cards and valid ID documentation. To avoid the formation of long queues all are asked to respect the appointment times they have been given.
Anyone in Los Alcázares who belongs to this age group but has not been notified of a vaccination time can go to the Pabellón 13 de Octubre at the Polideportivo after 11.30 to request their jabs.
A team of 35 people will be overseeing the process and ensuring that the vaccination goes ahead safely and without incidents.
To avoid congestion those arriving by car are asked to use Calle Jaén, while pedestrians should follow Avenida Joaquín Blume alongside the swimming pool.
