10th November, Mula open air painting competition
Entrants welcomed, along with participants
VII PREMIO NACIONAL DE PINTURA AL AIRE LIBRE “CIUDAD DE MULA”
This weekend Mula is hosting its annual Open air painting competition in the town, the subject being Mula and its historic old quarter.
Anyone is welcome to enter and the entries can be in any medium. The works must be painted in situ. Inscription is on the morning of the competition, the stand being set up in the Mercadillo de las Cuatro plazas which is taking place at the same time, and can be done between 9am and 11am. Artists may also have other works on sale if you´re interested in purchasing an artwork.
The finished works must be presented at the sports pavilion of Javi García (Gran Vía) between 4pm and 5pm.
The results will be made public at 7.30pm, and canvases which don´t win a prize will be on sale to the public at that point.
1st prize 1,500 euros, 2nd prize 700 euros, 3rd prize 600 euros, plus 3 more prizes of 500 euros.
All works winning prizes remain the property of the council.
There is another competition in Albedeite, just 10km away the day before.
The competition will be cancelled if it rains.
