ARCHIVED - July 23 Jacob Collier tops the bill on the final night of La Mar de Musicas in Cartagena
Live music from Spain, the Dominican Republic and the UK at various venues in Cartagena
After the disruption of the Covid pandemic over the last couple of years the La Mar de Músicas international music festival returns to Cartagena in the early summer of 2022, with a series of 41 artists performing between July 15 and July 23 at various venues in the city. The featured nation at this year’s event is the Dominican Republic.
On Saturday July 23, the final day of the festival, the schedule is as follows:
13.00: Spanish group Goblin Circus offer their mix of psychodelia, punk and surf music at the Real Club de Regatas. Tickets 5 euros.
20.00: The last free concert of La Mar de Músicas 2022 is given by Vera Fauna from Sevilla in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
21.30: Rosario La Tremendita is from Sevilla and has twice been nominated for the Best Flamenco Album award at the Latin Grammys. Tickets are available at 15 euros for her concert in the patio of the CIM building.
23.00: Jacob Collier (UK) is sometimes referred to as the enfant terrible of jazz, and in 2012 his home videos went viral on YouTube. He soon signed with the record company of Quincy Jones and later won two Grammys with his first album, In My Room, which he recorded at home in London.
Tickets for his concert in the Auditorio 'Paco Martín' in Parque Torres are on sale at 35 euros.
Midnight: Letón Pé (Dominican Republic) reached stardom in 2019 with her debut single The One and is now one of the hottest names in her country’s music scene. Tickets for the final concert of the La Mar de Músicas festival of 2022 at the Castillo Árabe are on sale at 12 euros.
