ARCHIVED - Breast cancer awareness walk in Guardamar: October 24
Residents in the Vega Baja are invited to join Alicante Association for the Fight Against Cancer in a 'solidarity walk'
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and as such organisations across the country are staging a variety of events to help raise vital funds and the profile of cancer care and research.
In Guardamar del Segura, the Alicante Association for the Fight Against Cancer is hosting a 'solidarity walk' on Sunday October 24, and the public is invited to take part.
Adults, children and pets can join in, meeting at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 9am for a 10am start, following an "urban and rural route".
Anybody interested in taking part must register at the Alicante Association for the Fight Against Cancer office in Calle San Francisco between October 18 and 23, 6pm to 8pm.
Participants will be asked for a five euro donation, which will include an official backpack and badge.
