ARCHIVED - Beers and bytes: beach networking returns to Javea
The Beachworking Technology Community will visit the Javea Port in the Marina Alta, Alicante province, on October 28
Beers and Bytes beachworking technology community, a project developed by Javea Town Hall and Creama, returns to the town with a free seminar at Nomad Hotel in Javea port on October 28.
During the 'beach networking' event, which starts at 6.30pm, three entrepreneurs will talk about their individual projects, successes and failures, offering attendees tips, tricks and helpful advice on setting up or strengthening their own businesses or enterprises.
"During this Beers and Bytes seminar we want to show some of the local companies that, after the pandemic, there are ways to adopt new business models," said the town hall.
Speakers include Dieter Roelen and Mónica Mascarós who reveal how they decided to come to Spain from Dubai, where they were living, and create a charming hotel in Javea.
Jaume Serra will also share how La Xabiera, an e-commerce platform that brings together local commerce, came about and has since helped many businesses to access online sales.
In addition, young entrepreneur Máximo Jenkins will talk about how he created the Javeaexpress app to promote local cuisine.
"At the end of the presentations there will be a more informal meeting so that attendees can exchange ideas, contacts or projects practicing the objective of this event, which is to carry out beach networking in locations in front of the sea," added the local council.
