There is also a photography competition in honour of the Taiwanese sculptures
The vibrantly coloured universe of the “Galaxia Hung” is bright and highly visible in Benidorm, with 14 colourful sculptures created by Taiwanese artist, Hung Yi filling plazas with glorious, uplifting colour.
The 14 exhibits are distributed across Plaza de la Hispanidad (4), Calle Gambo (2), Avenida del Mediterráneo (6) and Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España (2). The sculptures, inspired by Taiwanese culture, will remain in Benidorm until July 12.
A photography competition has also been organized and will be open to the public until May 2. The photographs must contain one of the “Galaxia Hung” sculptures and be a minimum size of 3,500 x 5,000 pixels; additionally, the participant presenting the photo must be the sole author.
Each participant can present up to 3 photos and the prizes include photographic material ranging from 400 to 100 euros in value.
Those interested can submit their photos by sending them to the email address provided by the department of Historical Heritage (patrimonihistoric@benidorm.org).
