ARCHIVED - Arts and crafts stand opens in Corvera airport terminal building
Jewellery and esparto grass products on offer for travellers at the Region of Murcia International Airport
As the number of flights begins to pick up at the Region of Murcia International Airport in Corvera after the virtual standstill during the winter and spring, commercial activity in the terminal building is also resuming and a stand was opened at the weekend where passengers are able to purchase a variety of arts and crafts products.
Among the items for sale are handbags, necklaces and other accessories and jewellery, as well as hand-painted silk scarves and objects made from esparto grass. The stand has been installed by the regional government of Murcia and was officially presented on Saturday in the hope that the level of interest among travellers will help to make it viable.
