The man had to be evacuated from the P&O liner in Murcia waters after suffering a health problem
A 73-year-old man had to be rescued in an emergency boat by the Spanish coastguard from the Britannia cruise ship this Wednesday, June 22, after he suffered an unspecified health problem.
The Salvamento Marítimo marine rescue service picked up the pensioner from the Britannia, which belongs to the P&O shipping company and was sailing off the coast of the Region of Murcia, to transfer him to hospital.
Once docked in the port of Cartagena, an ambulance from the Murcia Health Service transferred the passenger to the Santa Lucia hospital in Cartagena for treatment.
