ARCHIVED - Open-air exhibition in Murcia city shows the beauty of Jumilla winemaking
The images focus on the landscape of this wine-producing area
Open-air exhibitions with striking photographic images are becoming quite the rage and as the exhibition focusing on the Moors and Christians fiestas which didn’t happen in Murcia this autumn due to Covid is taken down, another one opens, the topic of this new exhibition being the landscapes of the Jumilla municipality, linked inextricably with the winemaking process that is the core agricultural activity in this area of the Murcia region.
The exhibition is in Avenida Libertad, and was officially inaugurated by the Mayor of Murcia, D. José Antonio Serrano, the Mayoress of Jumilla, Doña Juana Guardiola and the president of the DOP Jumilla, Silvano García.
The images were all taken by Jumilla-based photographers Juan and José Miguel Palao Quílez, from Guarafía producciones and Juan Canicio, and compiled by graphic designers Pascual Calero and José Pablo Castellanos.
