Man arrested in connection with Alicante bouncy castle accident
The Alicante inflatables were not installed in compliance with safety regulations
A man has been arrested by the Policía Nacional in relation to the events of 27th April in Alicante, when five bouncy castles were wrenched free of their moorings by a sudden gust of wind leaving 26 people injured.
The investigations carried out have led to the conclusion that the inflatables were not installed correctly according to safety rules, and as a result the 38-year-old man who was in charge of security at the event on Calle Teulada was detained. He was later released after giving his declaration to the investigating authorities.
At the same time, investigating officers have also discovered other irregularities in the documentation and paperwork relating to the event.
